Key scripture:

Some mornings feel rushed. You may wake up thinking about work, family responsibilities, finances, or everything you need to accomplish that day. Breakfast can easily become an afterthought.

But caring for your body can also be an opportunity to pause and thank God.

These Banana & Peanut Butter Overnight Oats are simple, filling, and easy to prepare the night before. They combine creamy oats, naturally sweet banana, and peanut butter for a satisfying breakfast that requires no cooking in the morning.

As you prepare it, remember that every new day is a gift from God.

  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • ½ teaspoon honey, optional

  • 1 tablespoon plain yogurt, optional

  • 1 tablespoon chopped peanuts, optional

  • A few banana slices for topping

  1. Place the rolled oats in a clean jar or container with a lid.

      2. Add the mashed banana, peanut butter, milk and cinnamon.

      3. Add honey if you prefer a sweeter breakfast.

      4. Stir thoroughly until everything is well combined.

      5. Add the yogurt if using it and stir again.

      6. Cover and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 4–6 hours.

    7. In the morning, stir the oats. Add a splash of milk if they are too thick.

    8. Top with banana slices and chopped peanuts if desired.

    9. Enjoy cold, or warm gently if you prefer your oats warm.

Serving suggestion: For a balanced breakfast, enjoy the oats alongside water or another unsweetened drink and adjust the portion to suit your appetite.
